Things just got brighter: Xerox created a breakthrough in its solid ink technology that makes color printing as cost-effective as black and white. The Xerox Phaser 8860 color printer and Xerox Phaser 8860MFP color multifunction printer, have been rolled out and are affordable, environmentally friendly products.

The crayon-like ink sticks, which Xerox first marketed in 1991, last longer than ever before, and because they can produce a higher number of pages, the price of printing color is virtually cut in half. Designed for any Abusiness with print volumes of 1,000 to 10,000 pages per month, the Phaser 8860 and Phaser 8860MFP are perfect for customers who use color in business proposals, marketing materials and daily communications such as e-mails and spreadsheets.
A box of color ink sticks yields 14,000 pages and costs $72. A box of black ink sticks, also producing 14,000 pages, costs $216.
