Corporate Citizens and Conservation

  • 08/29/2008

It’s no secret that the environment—and sustainability—are top of mind for many corporate citizens.

Public awareness of the need to conserve resources has made it imperative for companies of all sizes, regardless of industry, to roll up their sleeves and get their hands dirty.

While some companies may have a clearly defined position on sustainability, others need some guidance—and that’s just fine by the Nature Conservancy.

For more than 55 years, the organization has used its network and expertise to help the private sector align their goals with the organization’s habitat and conservation work.

In this podcast, Steve Volckers, director of corporate programs at the Nature Conservancy discusses the partnership program that businesses can get involved in.

As Volckers emphasizes, it doesn’t matter how big a company is, or what they want to do. Drawing from it’s vast network and multiple areas of involvement, the Nature Conservancy can work with corporate citizens to create unique solutions that benefit companies and conservation.
